I really started to get into blogs when I was a freshman in college. I was in a tough long distance relationship at the time, and one of the things that took my mind off of school and stress in general was reading about people's lives and adventures on their blogs. I thought I would share with you my list of go-to bloggers that I like to follow these days!
Taralynn is a lifestyle blogger who focuses on a number of things such as health, cooking, traveling, and more! I've been reading her blog for a long time and always love how straightforward she is about her own life and what challenges/successes she faces. She's also been a big inspiration to me in terms of incorporating fitness into everyday life. I did one of her month-long fitness challenges once and it kicked my ass.
Run by Christine, Apple of My Eye features a ton of amazing recipes. Christine actually went to the same university as me and was a big reason of why I started my own blog. I even reached out to her for some camera suggestions before going abroad and she was kind enough to give me some amazing tips. She's a photographer now and recently had some of her work published in People magazine!
I stumbled onto this blog through tumblr. Liz is from Toronto and is currently living in Detroit. She has a lot of funny stories of her many adventures through the years attempting to lose weight, try different fitness trends/diets, and playing the dating scene. If you are in the need for a short escape from work or anything else, I would definitely recommend checking her blog out.
Spoiler: I am a big fan of the show The Bachelor, and all of it's ridiculous goodness. Lesley Murphy was on the show a few years ago and now works as a luxury travel blogger. What does this mean exactly? It means she partners with companies around the world that invite her to come and check out their hotels/businesses. Dream job right?! Her posts are always fun to read and it's easy to day dream about going to whatever place she is at yourself. She recently discovered she has the BRCA2 gene which is liked to a very high chance of breast cancer. She's blogged all about her double mastectomy and the moments up to it which is a really interesting read.
Pretty self evident from the title, The Blonde Abroad covers the travels and adventures of Kiersten, a California native who quit her job in corporate finance in order to travel the world. Since then she has traveled to over 50 countries and has some great advice for people who are looking to do the same. Check her out!
